My "Build A Ring" worshop takes place at the Seventh & Stone studio in Two Harbors, MN.  During this five hour class, you will have the opportunity to pick out your stone and design your ring, build your ring using traditional metalsmithing techniques (sawing, forming, filing, and soldering), and then set your stone!  All materials, tools, snacks, and beverages will be provided.

Although I will supply each of you with beautiful stones to choose from, a chance to upgrade your stone will be available for an additional $10-15 cost. (I do not recommend bringing rocks, beach glass, pottery, or any other found object to class for stone setting. If you do wish to provide your own stone, be sure it is a cabochon with a flat back, smooth or faceted top, and no sharp points.)

Not only will this class give YOU the opportunity to make yourself a beautiful ring, but it will also give you a better understanding of the time and care that goes into each piece that I create as well.

If you happen to have any additional questions regarding the class, don't hesitate to contact me.

Took Barb’s build a ring workshop... it was a fantastic experience. Learned so much and got a beautiful ring that I designed myself! Thank you!

The build a ring workshop exceeded my expectations. Not only did Barb think of everything (snacks, drinks), but she also makes it really fun! You learn so much about the process of jewelry making and you really have total control over your ring design. Highly recommend and I will certainly be taking the class again!
